THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS INTENDED FOR PLAY IN THE 50 UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA ONLY AND SHALL BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO UNITED STATES LAW. DO NOT ENTER THIS CONTEST UNLESS YOU ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, OWN A DOG AND ARE A LEGAL RESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

The ALPO® Real Meat Moments Video Contest ("Contest") runs from June 22, 2008 to September 15, 2008. The contest entry period starts at noon Eastern Time (ET) on Sunday, June 22, 2008 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 27, 2008. Entries postmarked or posted after 11:59:59 p.m. ET on July 27, 2008 will be not be considered. Contest sponsored by Nestlé Purina PetCare Company, Checkerboard Square, St. Louis, MO 63164 ("Sponsor"), and administered by Cone LLC., an independent judging organization.

ELIGIBILITY: Contest offered only in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia to legal residents of the U.S. who own a dog and, at the time of entry, are 18 years of age or older. Entrants under the age of majority (21 if a MS resident, 19 if an AL, NE, or PA resident, 18 in all other states) must have their parent's or legal guardian's permission to enter. Open to amateur videographers only. Persons who have been paid for a personally-produced video are ineligible. Employees of Nestlé Purina PetCare Company, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and production agencies including Cone LLC, and their immediate family members and persons living in the same household of each are not eligible to enter. This Contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

REGISTER TO ENTER: In order to submit a video entry in this Contest, you must register at www.alporealmeatmoments.com. It is not necessary to register in order to rate, view or pass-along a video, or to participate in the Internet Popular vote as described below.

TERMS OF SUBMISSION: As conditions of entry into this Contest, and by uploading a video submission, each entrant:

1. WARRANTS AND REPRESENTS THAT THE ENTRANT IS THE OWNER OF THE DOG OR DOGS FEATURED IN THE CONTEST VIDEO SUBMISSION;

2. WARRANTS AND REPRESENTS THAT THE ENTRANT OWNS ALL RIGHTS TO THE SUBMISSION THAT HE OR SHE IS SUBMITTING IN THIS CONTEST INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE VIDEO OR DIGITAL RECORDING AND THE PERFORMANCE CONTAINED IN THE SUBMISSION;

3. WARRANTS AND REPRESENTS THAT THE ENTRANT HAS THE WRITTEN CONSENT, RELEASE, AND/OR PERMISSION OF EACH AND EVERY IDENTIFIABLE INDIVIDUAL PERSON IN THE VIDEO SUBMISSION TO USE HIS/HER RESPECTIVE NAME OR LIKENESS TO ENABLE INCLUSION AND USE OF THE SUBMISSION IN THE MANNER CONTEMPLATED BY THE SPONSOR AND THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND CAN MAKE WRITTEN COPIES OF SUCH PERMISSIONS AVAILABLE TO THE SPONSOR UPON REQUEST;

4. ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT, IF AN ENTRANT'S SUBMISSION IS SELECTED AS A SEMI-FINALIST (SEE INITIAL JUDGING BELOW), THE ENTRANT WILL EXECUTE AN AFFIDAVIT OF ELIGIBILITY AND LIABILITY RELEASE, IN WHICH HE/SHE WILL IRREVOCABLY ASSIGN AND TRANSFER TO THE SPONSOR ANY AND ALL RIGHTS, TITLE AND INTEREST IN SUBMISSION, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ALL COPYRIGHTS, AND WAIVE ALL MORAL RIGHTS IN THAT SUBMISSION. IN ADDITION, SELECTED FINALISTS MUST HAVE ALL IDENTIFIED PERSONS DEPICTED IN THE VIDEO SIGN PUBLICITY/MODEL RELEASES AS PROVIDED BY THE SPONSOR. IN THE EVENT A PERSON DEPICTED IN ANY VIDEO IS A MINOR, THE PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN OF THAT MINOR IS REQUIRED TO SIGN A PUBLICITY/MODEL RELEASE FOR THE MINOR; AND

5. WARRANTS AND REPRESENTS THAT HIS/HER SUBMISSION IS ORIGINAL TO THE ENTRANT AND HAS BEEN LEGALLY OBTAINED AND CREATED, DOES NOT INFRINGE THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, PRIVACY OR PUBLICITY RIGHTS OR ANY OTHER LEGAL OR MORAL RIGHTS OF ANY THIRD PARTY, OR VIOLATE APPLICABLE LAWS OR REGULATIONS AND HAS NOT BEEN PUBLISHED PREVIOUSLY IN ANY MEDIUM OR ENTERED IN PREVIOUS CONTESTS.

IN THE EVENT AN ENTRANT CANNOT PROVIDE ALL REQUIRED RELEASES, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT, IN SPONSOR'S SOLE DISCRETION, TO DISQUALIFY THE APPLICABLE SUBMISSION, OR SEEK TO SECURE THE RELEASES AND CLEARANCES FOR SPONSOR'S BENEFIT, OR ALLOW THE APPLICABLE SUBMISSION TO REMAIN.

Entrant agrees to indemnify and hold Sponsor and its affiliates, officers, directors, agents, co-branders or other partners, and any of their employees (collectively, the "Contest Indemnitees"), harmless from any and all claims, damages, expenses, costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) and liabilities (including settlements), brought or asserted by any third party against any of the Contest Indemnitees due to or arising out of the Entrant's submission or the Entrant's conduct during and in connection with this Contest, including, but not limited to, trademark, copyright, or other intellectual property rights, right of publicity, right of privacy or defamation.

Entrant agrees to release and indemnify and hold harmless Contest Indemnitees from any and all claims that any commercial, advertising, presentation, Web content or any other material subsequently produced, presented, and/or prepared by or on behalf of Sponsor infringes on the rights of Entrant's work as contained in any Submission.

HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE OR INTERNET SERVICE SUBSCRIPTION IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. OBTAIN A PRODUCT COUPON VIA REGULAR MAIL GOOD FOR ONE FREE CAN OF PURINA® ALPO® BRAND DOG FOOD BY COMPLETING THE COUPON REQUEST FORM. Coupon requests must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 27, 2008. Requests received after this date will not be honored. There are two ways to enter: 1) Visit the Sponsor's website at www.alporealmeatmoments.com between noon Eastern Time on June 22, 2008 and 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time on July 27, 2008 and follow the on-line instructions. Then upload your original video and click "SUBMIT". 2) Print your name, mailing address, e-mail address, date of birth and home phone number along with your dog's name, age, and breed on an 8 ½" x 11" piece of paper and mail it along with your video submission on VHS or DVD to: ALPO® Real Meat Moments Video Contest, PO Box 991028, Boston, Massachusetts 02199. All videos must include a 3-5 word name or description of the dog's behavior, must adhere to the ENTRY REQUIREMENTS specified below and cannot be longer than two (2) minutes in length. All eligible videos will be posted to the ALPO® Real Meat Moments website and other social media sites.

Limit three entries per person and per household; each entry must be submitted separately and must be posted or postmarked by 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time on July 27, 2008. If you submit more than three entries, only the three entries that are posted, received and processed first will be eligible. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, the entry will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address at time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization, or the domain associated with the e-mail address.

All entries become the property of the Sponsor, which retains all rights including, but not limited to, any intellectual property rights, including copyrights, the right to copy, edit, modify, adapt, publish, and/or use any submissions in any way and in all media without limitation or further consideration. No correspondence about entries will be entered into, nor will videos be acknowledged or returned. If required information is not included, entry will be disqualified.

Sponsor is not responsible for late or incomplete entries. If a problem occurs in the on-line submission process you should receive an "Error" message. However, the responsibility to electronically forward the entry is the entrant's and neither Sponsor nor the Contest administrators shall be responsible for any video not actually received due to incomplete or improper transmission. Similarly, neither Sponsor nor Contest administrator has any obligation to advise entrant of an incomplete submission.

Sponsor, Cone LLC, and/or other Contest administrators may prohibit you from participation in the Contest if, at their sole discretion, you show a disregard for, or attempt to circumvent these Official Contest Rules, or act: (a) in a manner that affects the administration, security, fairness or proper play or conduct of the Contest in any way; (b) with an intent to annoy, threaten or harass any other entrant or the Sponsor; or (c) in any other disruptive manner.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Each submission must include one video in any of the following formats - mov, avi, mp4, mpg, mpeg, flv, or wmv, up to 10MB if submitted on-line or in VHS, MPEG or DVD format if submitted by mail, and must be no longer than two (2) minutes in length. You may include up to three dogs and two people in any one video; if a video with more than one dog is selected as the Grand Prize winner, Sponsor, in its sole discretion, will determine which of the dogs will appear on the ALPO® cans, in the print ads and on the inflatable. (See PRIZES section below).

The video submission should clearly show entrant's dog's excitement when he is about to be fed Purina® ALPO® brand Dog Food. Entrants are required to feed ALPO® brand canned dog food for the feeding moment captured in the video. Behaviors can include, but are not limited to, jumping, spinning, running, dancing, begging, barking, etc. Dog(s) shown in the video must be owned by the entrant and live in the same household as the entrant. Because Nestlé Purina PetCare Company promotes the compassionate care of all pets, videos depicting animals in unsafe conditions or not exemplifying responsible pet ownership will not be considered. Video submission must be the property and original work of the entrant, may not have been previously distributed, may not have won prior awards, and must not infringe on any third-party rights. Videos taken by professional videographers or film makers, defined as individuals who earn their primary income as a videographer or film maker, will not be accepted.

No third-party music, logos, or branded products are allowed in videos. When mailing an entry, please affix the entrant's name and address to the video. Videos submitted for entry failing to observe any of these requirements in the sole judgment of Sponsor and/or Cone LLC will be disqualified.

CONSUMER RATING: All videos that meet the Entry Requirements specified above will be placed on the Sponsor's website at www.alporealmeatmoments.com and other social media sites where, from June 22, 2008 to 11:59:59 p.m. ET on August 9, 2008, consumers will have an opportunity to rate each video. This rating process is for entertainment purposes only and will have no effect on the determination of winners, which is described below.

INITIAL JUDGING: All videos received within the entry period will be judged by an independent panel of judges based on the following criteria: Appropriateness to the "ALPO® Real Meat Moments" theme (35%); Originality (35%); and Star Potential (30%). Using these judging criteria, up to twenty (20) semi-finalists will be selected and those entries, in original or edited form, will be eligible for posting to the Sponsor's Contest website for popular voting.

WINNER NOTIFICATION, AFFIDAVITS AND RELEASES: Semi-finalists will be notified by e-mail or by Priority Mail on or before July 31, 2008 and will be required to execute, and deliver to Sponsor within three (3) days of notification, a signed Affidavit of Eligibility, Publicity Release and Release of Liability. A winner under the age of majority in their home state must have their parent or guardian sign and execute Affidavits and Releases. Except where prohibited by law, submission of a completed Affidavit and Release constitutes permission to use the winner's name, biographical information, likeness, and submitted video for purposes of advertising and promotion in all media, including on-line worldwide, without limitation or further compensation. Failure to return a completed Affidavit within the prescribed time period will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate semi-finalist. Each semi-finalist who returns a signed affidavit will receive a six month supply of Purina® ALPO® brand canned dog food that will be delivered via 26 store coupons good for approximately 303 cans of dog food. The coupons will have a value of up to $10.68 each good for the following: 12-13.2 oz cans, or 6-22 oz cans, or 1 12-ct variety pack. (Total value of each semi-finalist prize is $277.68).

INTERNET POPULAR VOTE AND FINALIST SELECTION: Up to twenty (20) semi-finalist entries will be posted at www.alporealmeatmoments.com starting at noon Eastern Time on Sunday, August 10, 2008. Site visitors will be invited to rate these semi-finalists over a 14-day period. Limit one rating per finalist, per person. Cookies must be enabled for voting. All votes must be posted by 11:59:59 a.m. Eastern Time on Sunday, August 24, 2008. Internet voting will count toward 10% of the total score assigned to each semi-finalist. The remaining 90% of the total score will be assigned by Cone LLC based on the following criteria: Appropriateness to the "ALPO® Real Meat Moments" theme (30%); Originality (30%); and Star Potential (30%). The five (5) videos receiving the highest combined scores will be named Finalists and will move on to the final phase of judging; the Celebrity Vote.

CELEBRITY VOTE: On or before September 7, 2008 a celebrity judge (to be announced on the Contest website) will select one Grand Prize winner from among the five Finalists. Selection will be based on the following criteria: Appropriateness to the "ALPO® Real Meat Moments" theme (35%), Originality (35%), and Star Potential (30%).

PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize and four (4) Runner Up Prizes will be awarded:

Grand Prize: The winning entrant and their dog will receive:

• A trip to Hollywood, California for the winner, a travel companion, and the winner's dog. Trip includes:
  • Four-nights, double occupancy hotel accommodations
  • Round-trip air transportation for two (and dog)
  • One day with a Hollywood celebrity pet trainer including a training session, an opportunity to meet and greet celebrity dogs from TV and movies, and a tour of famous animal film locations in Los Angeles
  • A spa treatment for the winning dog
  • A spa treatment for the dog's owner and their travel companion
• A Hometown Send-off Celebration for the winner
• Winning dog's image on a larger than life custom-made inflatable depicting the new ALPO® can. Inflatable to be revealed at the send-off celebration.

The estimated total value of the Grand Prize is $21,630.

The total retail value of the pet food portion of this prize is $544.68.

Limit one prize per person or household. Prizes are not transferable or assignable. There will be no substitution or exchange of any prize except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Should any component of a prize be unavailable, for any reason, the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize component of equal or greater value. All applicable taxes and expenses related to the acceptance and use of a prize, including sales tax, are the sole responsibility of the winners.

WINNER NOTIFICATION: Winners will be notified by mail on or before September 12, 2008. The first name, last initial and hometown of each winner will be posted at www.alporealmeatmoments.com the week of September 15, 2008.

GRAND PRIZE WINNER AFFIDAVITS AND RELEASES: The Grand Prize winner will be required to sign, notarize, and deliver to Sponsor within one week of notification: 1) a release of liability for all third parties involved in the delivery of the Grand Prize, and 2) a veterinarian-issued health certificate confirming that the winner's dog has up to date shots and is fit for travel. Failure to supply such documentation within the prescribed time period will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate Grand Prize winner.

By entering this Contest you give your consent for Sponsor to deliver your entry material and/or personal information to Cone, LLC. and/or other Contest administrators as required for the purpose of administering the Contest. Only Sponsor, Cone, LLC. and such other Contest administrators will have access to the personal information. Information will be used in accordance with Sponsor's online privacy policy. Submissions that do not comply with these Official Rules or that otherwise contain prohibited or inappropriate content as determined by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, will be disqualified and will not be placed on the Sponsor's website or considered for a prize. Sponsor makes the final determination as to which submissions are eligible to take part in this Contest and be considered for a prize. Having a submission posted to the Sponsor's website at www.alporealmeatmoments.com is unrelated to the Judging Criteria and does not guarantee selection as a semi-finalist, runner-up or Grand Prize winner.
